About the role:Our client, a government organistion, is seeking an experienced
Survey Assistant to join their team, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. This is a contract position, offering full-time hours, until mid-2027.
In this role, the Survey Assistant will provide efficient and effective survey technical services by:
- assisting the surveyor in the field surveys including the compilation of and storage/recording and set out of spatial data
- assisting in applying modelling techniques to meet project requirements
- assisting in undertaking basic data processing operations
- providing technical support to the Surveyor on projects

- Survey:Applies a basic understanding of surveying practice under guidance.
- Data and Information Acquisition:Understands and applies knowledge of data and information acquisition under the guidance of an experienced professional surveyor.
- Manages internal and external relationships:Written and verbal communication is clear and concise. Models' open communication; actively and attentively listens to others. Works collaboratively with others.
- Focuses on performance:Sets priorities and organises self. Reports progress and any potential delays or issues which may impact others.
- Be a reliable team player with the ability to work under limited direction to achieve goals.
- A current Driver’s license and white card is essential.
- A current first aid certificate or certificate III in spatial information services is highly regarded.
